OMG we had our 25th wedding anniversary celebration at nancy run social hall. Great place lots of room..set up was awesome. Fire chief Mike was a very nice guy, his hospitality was awesome. Very flexible and he is willing to work with you. Thank you Mike! Appreciate everything you did for us.

I would like to make a suggestion, around Christmas every year one of the Fountain Hill fire stations has a sign up for parents to have a fireman dressed as Santa come to their home on the fire truck and deliver presents. I would love to have this happen over here! As far as I know the parents call, request a time that you have available, and drop off the gifts to the station for Santa to deliver and then the fire truck and Santa and his elves come during the evening with all the lights on on the truck and come in to the home and deliver a wrapped or unwrapped present for the children that the parents have provided. This would also be a great way to get donations for an individual station as well!

A couple days ago during this horrible snow storm, my 90 year old grandmother needed to get to the hospital ASAP due to multiple ongoing illnesses. She has a very steep driveway (the house right next to Freedom high) that was not plowed because she lives alone and nor the city or anyone was able to assist her with clearing it. When the ambulance came, Nancy Run had sent over 6 men to clear the driveway and help the EMT's bring the gurney down the driveway to the ambulance. I cannot express my gratitude enough to those men for helping in this time of need. It's been a long hard winter with her being in and out of the hospital and that kind gesture really meant the world to our family. Thank you all so much for the wonderful work that you do. It does not go unnoticed.

It's good to see that you guys are doing well. I have not been back to the area since I left the department in 2005 but I continue to check and see how things are going.
