The Nancy Run Fire Company is not just a fire company, we are a family. We take great pride in our elite staff of volunteers that come from all walks of life and each individual brings something special to the table. Nancy Run members are expected to uphold the highest level of professionalism to continue our reputation as a well-rounded fire company in Northampton County, PA. Members wishing to participate in firefighting activities are required to complete an orientation program and mandated fire training by the state Fire Commissioner. Members in good standing with the department will receive:
- Free Training
- Equipment and Gear
- Membership to Maxx Fitness Center (Must meet certain requirements)
- Membership to the First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union (Must meet certain requirements)
The Nancy Run Fire Company is always accepting applications for new members. Below are the procedures for applying for the appropriate membership.
Active Member (18 years of age and over) applicants must provide the following:
- Membership Application (Must visit station in person to request form)
- Background Check Authorizarion Form (Must be notarized and signed)
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance (Must be clean and within one year)
- $10 for Background Check
After all the required forms have been received by the Membership Committee, a criminal background check will be conducted. After the background check is completed, the applicant will meet with members of the Membership Committee for an interview. The applicant will then be brought up for membership at the monthly Company meeting, which is held the first Tuesday of every month. The Company will vote on the application for membership and the applicant will be notified by mail of the result.
