Companies handle accident with rescue on William Penn Highway.

Bethlehem Township fire and EMS companies were dispatched for a vehicle into a tree on William Penn Highway this morning. Engine 1411 responded within two minutes with a crew of five and was first due to the scene. Engine 1411 arrived to find a single vehicle down an embankment. The vehicle was on its side in between several trees with one party entrapped. 1454 (Captain Lenner) assumed Command. 1411's crew made quick work of stabilization and disentanglement. The patient was extricated in 17 minutes and transported to a local trauma facility. Companies went available within 60 minutes from dispatch.
